Super fun except for the parts where it seems like a Chevy commercial because holy fuck was that embarrassing.
Surprisingly, a lot of the comedy moments landed for me, but only a few of the serious moments landed. It had too much tonal whiplash in some elements, and the human mother and daughter characters were useless to the entire movie. A lot of gender commentary, but came off as too millennial girl-bossy at times.
Greta Gerwig continues to confuse me.…
