Given my own expectations and the critical hype, I thought there was a slight chance I might walk out a little disappointed, unsure if Nolan could emotionally ground it. That was not the case.
The Trinity Test sequence is one for the ages, I was literally on the edge of my seat. And at one point toward the end I was nearly moved to tears. Career-defining performances for Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt and also a reminder that Robert Downey Jr. was wasted in Marvel movies for the last 14 years.
