  Don’t people know what satire is anymore?!?!! How incredible that were treated to this after parasite, where Bong clearly had a lot of fun with this. Yes it’s a little half baked and over the top but personally I enjoyed all the outlandishness of it all. In the ‘first movie post Oscar win’ canon it sits pretty nicely. Make Robert Pattinson the president.

  This is mostly quite mid but it was also really interesting watching Marty learn how to write and direct, and Thelma Schoonmaker’s early direction.

  So true king, everybody should like westerns.

  Maybe the best movie of the year?!? This is my first foray with Sean Baker’s filmography and what a wild yet beautiful ride it was. I want to watch Mikey Madison in every thing I ever watch for the rest of my life. So funny but so heartbreaking at the same time. Incredible that Sean Baker seems to be getting the attention he has deserved for so long but why has it taken this long?!? Anyway happy to be here…

  A hideously beautiful journey through the world of Bella Baxter. SO MUCH to like about this film: Emma Stone’s best ever performance (?) and characterisation of Bella, her costume changes as her mind develops, her innocent dominance over all men she comes across, Mark Ruffalo expertly playing an absolute prick, the dream-like, otherworldly visuals, the music ahhhh.

  It’s not for everyone but I love stepping into Lanthimos’ demented, explorative world and am eternally grateful his movies are able to be made in such a turbulent era of cinema.
