Violent and wacky as only a Bong Joon-ho movie will be.
This does the post apocalyptic 'people pushed to the limit' sort of violence present in a mad Max film.
The sci-fi is without a doubt wacky, but I do find it compelling. The Haves justifying their position as necessary due to shortage, and talk of a "closed system" evokes the zero-sum way of looking at human competition. ie. Some must suffer so others can prosper.

Romance, drama, action, a tasteful pole routine.
It captures all of the physical comedy and humor of a Looney tunes cartoon, and nails the tone of Charlie Chaplin films.
In all of the chaos there's a beautiful connecting story thread and clear stakes.Genuinely brilliant fun, might also make you think about capitalism being based on extermination and exploitation. 10/10 animal onesie combat.
