    “A Real Pain” is a self-contained, low-stakes story that feels more like an illustration or expression than a full film.

    An incredibly meta film that is 2-3 steps ahead of the fan boy audience that is hating on it.

    I typically don’t write reviews, but the amount of misplaced hate on this film has compelled me to go to bat for it.

    It was obvious to me that most main stream audiences wouldn’t like this film. The first one did a great job of bridging the gap between “fan boys” & “film nerds”… Delivering a Batman themed story that also respected…
