  I probably didn’t get it and that’s ok. Not entirely sure what the genre here was supposed to be. Dialogue was mellow (and hard to hear over the score). however, great score. Gorgeous visuals. Love drew starkey and Luca guadagninos work. Honestly could’ve gone without watching this

  I think a lot about Rocket's neutrality in the gang war, and how the definition of "neutrality" transforms in "City of God." The whole point of reporting and photography in journalism is to offer an objective hand toward a subjective matter. However, Rocket has always been surrounded by the gang life depicted in the film, and is even connected emotionally to the gang war. His own brother was killed by Lil Dice, whose photos end up in the newspaper. I wonder what sort of neutrality he truly had, considering his very presence in the community rendered him the only person able to capture such compelling photos.
