Watched this movie for the first time when I was 13 and it opened my eyes to how dark and moving movies can really be, truly one of the first GOOOOD movies I’ve seen. Always will have a special place in my heart for this one, amazing acting and even better directing. Just love this movie so much.

The Substance 2024
I feel like they were going for more shock factor instead of trying to tell a well thought out story. I did appreciate a lot of the little nods to different movies like The Shining. I think that the overall message was good but it got lost in translation with all of the gore. 3/5.

WAYYYY TOO FREAKY!!! Like I love Nicole Kidman but can’t get over how much work she has done on her face, no matter what I will always see her as Nicole Kidman instead of the character she’s playing. The plot was okay but nothing that had me on the edge of my seat, pretty predictable. Harris Dickinson did a great job though, I really feel like this movie will skyrocket him into more sophisticated roles in his future. Overall, a 3/5 because it grasped my attention but didn’t make me want to watch it again.
