I was really vibing with the film until the ending - not the most profound ever but great fun horror. At the beginning of the ending sequence I was okay - predictable but still okay, Rose finally accepting and processing her trauma… and then the rug is totally ripped out from under you - all that presumable growth she had just broken through nulled. I guess you could say it’s a (rather blatant) metaphor for not ever being able to…

The Night House 2020
Extremely powerful representation of loss and the long tail of grief. Loved Rebecca Hall’s performance - her portrayal of Beth’s grief and her insistence to keep going down the rabbit hole really resonated. However, the ending didn’t quite land for me - I didn’t feel like the emotional arc of the story had been fully resolved (also the last line made me roll my eyes a bit)
