Sheryl Lee is incredible. Genuinely the most gut wrenching and horrifying performance I’ve ever seen. 5/5

Déjà Vu 2006
Extremely solid first hour and a half, which turns into a tepid and somewhat nonsensical second. Denzel is incredible as always, and the confidence he gives off in the first part of the movie is unmatched. Unfortunately with the brisk pacing and generic-action heavy second half this is mostly lost.
The crime thriller/time mindfuck is melded perfectly in the first half, but without spoiling anything the movie contradicts itself with the time plot and drops the hard boiled detective meets…

Truly one of the worst paced movies I’ve ever seen and two of the least likable or sympathetic protagonists I’ve ever encountered. The final scene could have played well in another movie that actually tried to use/interrogate the darker themes it brings up, but in this movie it is just totally out of place. I actually think Powell’s acting was fine, it’s just that he plays two repulsive characters and for some reason every scene and act of this movie…
