An incredible balance of science and fantasy with enough realism to suspend my disbelief for the more "far fetched" concepts of the movie. The concept of time and relativity added such an emotional weight and I found myself more than once feeling intense feelings of sadness for both our characters in space and at home mourning lost years with their loved ones. Excellent performances by the cast, spectacular cinematography (this is the sort of film anamorphics are made for) and sound design, or lack thereof during space scenes, put me in another world. My inner child, forever obsessed with sci-fi, is jumping for joy.
