    Am I?

Good example of a film better left unseen – or unmade.

    Pure Hearts: Into Chinese Showbiz

Whenever I'm depressed, re-watching this movie always makes me feel better (but in an unexpected way). If somebody can make a film this offensive and still live on with it, then why shouldn't I be able to live with myself too!

    Money Has Four Legs

    ★★★★

A delightfully satirical depiction of the heavily regulated film industry in contemporary Myanmar. By leveraging alternative means of self-expression and camera shots, Money Has Four Legs is subtle in its approach, or perhaps criticism, to censorship.

    King of Killers

    ★½

As someone who has hardly watched hit-man movies, I would say King of Killers is just borderline watchable (or so-bad-it's-good to some). It bombards viewers with tropes that we've had enough of in this genre. On top of that, many film buffs could have guessed the plot line just by the title alone. King of Killers clearly doesn't offer anything innovative nor does it try to revamp the genre – it just wants to look cool. Seeing Frank Grillo play the over-the-top villain was enjoyable, however. Another positive thing about King of Killers is that any movie watched after it would feel 10x better.
