  “what are girls for?”

  never has a movie so well captured the moment when the energy shifts and you realise you are not safe with this man. and the thing about this is it’s not just the rotten apple at the core of the film, it’s the whole stupid bunch - boyfriend who doesn’t believe you, security guard who fobs you off, tv host who tells you to just keep smiling. they’re all responsible!!!

  when the lights came up i burst into tears

  one of the most shocking, complex and masterfully constructed plays i have ever seen in my life. the intermission film about CP Taylor was fascinating, and i very much enjoyed hearing him talk about the dialogue system he was using as a sort of counterpointal musical score. the whole thing had an impeccable rhythm to it, building to a horrifying and inevitable crescendo. the deceptively simple set design was nothing short…
