  Easy fun, moreso in the first half. Loved the genre-mishmash and the plot mechanics, but the B-side - and particularly the climax - suffered from a bit of the worst film sin: it eventually got boring.

  Dog Man 2025

  Charming fun, artistically crafted and with a childlike spirit. That's probably strangely hard for adult animators to accomplish, right? I do appreciate it.

  That said, I'm TERRIFIED of losing my taste for "quirky" due to ...commercialization? Around "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs", this was like my favorite meal - but besides a few absolute bangers since (like the Spider-verse films), it's starting to feel more like left-overs. I don't blame Dog Man - it IS still tasty - but I have had this meal before.
