Mickey7 (the book) is a more ambling and humorous reflection on identity and colonialism. Mickey 17 (the movie) is a much more overt social commentary. Both do their thing pretty well.
Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo were scene stealers. Naomi Ackie was incredible. RPatz made Mickey soooo much more baby girl than the book version which I appreciated 🫶
definition of a hard watch. margaret qualley you need to apologize. crazy that Beanie Feldstein as a cop was the high point of the movie.
and another thing. why did they set Tallahassee in South Florida…,,
imagine my shock when i found out after watching this entire movie that Laszlo Toth is not a real man and that photo during intermission was not his real wedding photo 🥲
anyway this movie was good and i was convinced
