The Secret Life of Pets 2016
Great concept, bad execution imo. Too many characters and plot relied too much on endless action scenes with jeopardy every 5 mins. Made Freddie anxious. Also probs wouldn’t have watched had I realised Louis CK voices the dog :/

Second time viewing since it was released and somehow what felt like quite poignant at the time doesn’t feel like it goes hard enough with the current political climate. Still a great commentary on patriarchy though with fun gags and cult references. Love Alan. Forgot how much of a bop I’m just Ken is

Exciting, funny and moving all in one. Such a visually appealing film and shot in a really interesting way. The second half is a real roller coaster ride that goes in a totally different direction to what you expect and almost completely switches genres.
