  this isn’t a movie i’d usually gravitate towards, but there was a matinee playing down the street, so why not. 

  i tend to avoid military movies simply because i can’t stand films with barely any women, sadistic violence, toxic masculinity, blind hierarchal obedience, US imperialism…. and this film definitely had every aspect of this? but at the same time also ended up challenging the majority of this list.
