Literally: Jesus take the wheeeeel
The movie tries to honor a pacifist, but it spends way too much time focused on blood and violence right from the start. It’s confusing because the movie wants to show anti-violence but then keeps showing brutal, gory ass battle scenes over and over… The violence isn’t even shown from Doss point of view most of the time. Instead, we’re stuck watching the same deaths repeated in too much detail, unnecessarily. It’s a well-made Christian movie, but the message feels a bit mixed up tho😔
