  ari aster is a genius. the most aesthetically pleasing “horror film” I’ve ever seen. It made me rethink the way I’m going about life. wish I could have watched this when I was going through my first heartbreak

  I normally find angsty teen movies corny but this was so fun to watch. The humor was really refreshing and I’ve never genuinely related to a teen character. From carelessness to friend breakups, isolation, it was very on point and comforting to be able to put myself in her shoes and laugh about it as well. Gave me big vivid flashbacks to my junior year of high school! I liked it more than ladybird.

  Something about A24 films always get me, a miraculous depiction of the concept of masculinity. The intensity of the music score and unsteady shots made me feel uncomfortable throughout the entire film but in the best way. I haven’t lost myself in a character in a while but due to the vulnerability of each scene (and not to mention insanely talented acting from each character) I found it easy to put myself in Chrion’s place which led to severe nostalgia that I haven’t stopped feeling, and I don’t want to stop feeling? Ive watched Moonlight 4 times in the last 2 two weeks, I can’t stop...
