The Frisco Kid 1979
Viewer beware- this is the best movie I have seen all year. It's a comedy, but when I say comedy I mean it is a comedy in the way life is a comedy. It made me cry, it made my dad cry. It might have even made my dog cry.

The Boy and the Heron 2023
I found the first half of this film to be one of the most interesting things I have seen in a very very long time.
The second half felt disconnected and had a very different tone to the rest of the film. And the rest of the ghibli cannon.
I know everyone has said this by now, but the english title is weird and the Japanese title fits the film better.
I need to watch the sub before I say anything else.
