Iñárritu's Irreversible, playing on fractured memory and the inevitable finality of time and life.
A whole jigsaw puzzle that never really feels cohesive or consistent but it is better that way. Reminds me of how films like Diamonds of the Night disentangle fragmented human memory in separate little vignettes within vignettes. A confused and weathering thread that never loses its momentum but shifts its rhythm multiple times to exemplify the ironies and tragedies at work here.

Sorrentino’s hedonism by way of PTA’s vibrancy.
Truly a divulgence in excess and the Hollywood stardom complex. While it can be quite cheesy at times it is forgiven by how pure it is, simultaneously capturing the decadence of Hollywood, the façade and manipulation of art, but also capturing the magic and technical uplifting battles of the industry itself.
Glorious to see this coked up rollercoaster ride unfold with an ending that takes me back to the whiplash experimental direct editing of Irma Vep’s final minutes.

Francis I love you but this was fucking torture to watch. I spent 50$ today on this movie for you. I have spent so much on coppola wine I should've been given a producer credit really. I did the math in my head and realistically I paid for at least three days for one PA on set. Like this was so fucking dumb. I don't really understand the vision, what it's trying to say, anything about it. It was emotionless…
