  Happy Death Day was such a pleasant surprise that I keep waiting for another high concept “horror” movie to rise to that level. Unfortunately, this was not the movie that succeeds. The opening scene was solid enough that it gave me hope, but it ultimately failed to live up to it. Don’t get me wrong, there are some amusing moments and Vince Vaughn has a few great moments as well but not enough to save it overall.
