The scene that got me good was when Wolfgang is convalescent on his bed and he legitimately apologizes to Salieri, a man that unbeknownst to him has been praying on his downfall the whole time, for not recognizing the value in his presence earlier. The film is rich in its psychological complexity, with this scene being the cherry on top; it's the moment in which the contradiction is at full display and the devilish little irony fills the room in the same way the music does.
