Moonlight 2016
The first time I saw this movie was almost exactly five years ago on my 20th birthday. It ruined my birthday not because it was a bad film but because it was so real and heartbreaking I kept it with me through the rest of the day. Today I was able to see it in theaters and experience what I felt when I was 20 all over again. Still so beautiful, real, heartbreaking, and hopeful. One of those movies I’ll always carry with me 💙
