I must be a freak because I really liked this movie. I feel like people were disproportionately scared by it to be honest. Was it gross? Absolutely. But it was still good nonetheless. It looked beautiful, and also explored class conflict in a way I haven't really seen. Rather than being solely about the upperclass it ends up as a critique of the bourgeosie which I found was quite unique and offers an interesting perspective. Overall a great film.

I liked it, but the ending... I guess it was symbolic of the whole "tennis is a relationship thing" in a way but it left me feeling a bit empty. Also the scenes where they are about to play tennis and are just staring into each others eyes dramatically whilst that funky music plays kind of annoyed me after a certain point. Was it iconic? YES but alsoo I found sometimes it disrupted the pacing.

This was a good watch! I thought it was quite unique in how it explored its themes and I can't say I've ever seen anything like it.
