Just watched "Linda's Film on Menstruation" (1974) for class and was surprised by how relatable it still feels. Following 15-year-old Judy dealing with her first period and her boyfriend Johnny's reaction, the film uses quirky animations and street interviews to normalize period talk. While definitely dated with its 70s vibe, the educational content is surprisingly accurate and the message that periods aren't shameful still resonates today. The awkward conversations and male reactions in the film reminded me of similar experiences I've had, showing how some things haven't changed that much in 50 years. Worth a watch if you're into feminist history.
This is exactly the kind of movie I love. It’s eerie, slow-burning, and more about atmosphere and emotion than jump scares. The black-and-white cinematography makes everything feel even more lifeless and unsettling, which adds to the whole vibe of isolation.
Vincent Price absolutely carries the film. His performance is raw and haunting—you can feel the exhaustion and loneliness in every scene. The movie isn’t just about surviving; it’s about what it means to be completely alone and how that messes with your mind. That’s what makes it so interesting.
