Phasom is from the background of minority groups in Thailand, so he was able to capture something unique to his culture here in a refreshing and unbridled way. Because I love when directors come out to tell stories they want to tell. There's so much human wonder and just pure awe for the natural world. Their relationships are much more grounded, organic and connected to the earth, which in turn brings them closer to the transcendental forces of our world and perhaps beyond.

It's just beautiful. What a treat to see a film like this in SEA shorts for sgiff 35th. I'm so thankful this was made, and it's clear that it's not just a work of love but a work you can fall in love with, their world. And I told Don as much, it's a really mature work carried by not just a beautiful natural landscape but a raw and haunting beauty of just the human body, and there were many beautiful bodies in this film ❤️
