  ultimately pretty unsatisfying. i really enjoyed the first half, but then the movie takes a turn into a rather disappointing direction. after that, it felt very repetitive. i was waiting for at least one full conversation, but whenever i thought it was about to happen, the movie cuts away to the next scene. what could’ve been a movie exploring the effects of toxic masculinity and the resulting heartbreak felt as two young boys grow apart ends up being wasted potential simply for the sake of being dramatic.
