This would have gotten 5 stars if the stuttering attorney had not been played for laughs.

I'm not a huge Ralph Macchio fan, but he is perfect in this part. Fred Gwynne was an inspired choice as the judge as well. The perfect casting of Joe Pesci (always better playing comedic roles) and Marisa Tomei simply took the film from good to great.

I still carry a lesson from this movie... what is said out loud with nuance and inflection…

    So not a lot happens.

I have put off watching this film as I understood it to be a "second rate rip off" of The Big Chill. I didn't bother to see it. It is easy to forget how young Robin Williams used to be. Such a great comic with the acting chops of a master.
There is not a weak character in the film. Glen Close and John Lithgow were incredible.

    Holy shit, what a ride.

I'm not usually a "spree-killer" fan, but this one feels like a modern homage to Falling Down.

Joel Murry and Tara Lynne Barr are both gifted actors and have amazing, yet believable chemistry.

There are A LOT of murders, but they don't have that "murders are so cool" vibe that you would expect, although they are filmed beautifully.

    See it!
