I get that slurs are obviously still used by people and they can have a purpose in film, whether it's for historical acuraccy or just to hone a specific point in, but tbh i feel like the writer was like "i want to make this feel real and raw and true to American culture" and just started throwing in slurs anywhere they could. It got to a point where it felt redundant and was used 'just because'.
