This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
My thoughts:
- I noticed a distinct lack of joy in this movie, compared to its "sister movies" in Scorsese's stable of American criminal biopics (Goodfellas, Casino, The Wolf of Wall Street). Those earlier movies all have extended scenes of the main characters luxuriating in the spoils of victory, gorging themselves on the best food, the best booze, the best drugs, the hottest women, etc. There's pretty much none of that here. We see the characters have a nice steak…
