  I regret watching this film...
  The movie attempts to tell a complex love story set against the backdrop of Shanghai's murky underworld, but the way it showed women in the movie was totally off.
  It perpetuates harmful stereotypes and reduces women to mere objects of desire, overshadowing any potential merit in the movie's storyline.

  Re-watched in AMC movie theater, I noticed the scene shortly showing a snail and frog. And after the magical night when the tress grew crazy tall, and the girls went up to sky with Totoro, the next morning there are little sprouts on the ground where they planted the seeds.
  Life has miracle and magic, it might not be as crazy as Totoro or a cat bus, but they exist, like the snail, the frog, and the little sprouts-smaller, slower magic.
  Miyazaki took all the awful things away from reality, create a world with only trust, support and love.
