listen I can usually accept things as products of their time and ignore stuff to dig into the main message.....but the message about war being bad was way too surface level for me to get past the whole "this child is in love with a grown man, and her own grandfather had to keep telling the man not to do anything inappropriate with her, and then also another grown man wants to marry her, and suddenly more than half the plot is this child's love life" thing of it all.....guess I'm just not the target audience here 🙃Translated from by
