  this was a good movie but it simply does not do the book justice. you miss sooooooooo much not hearing watanabe's inner dialogue. 

  naoko and midori were both portrayed wonderfully in my opinion, but hatsumi and reiko were not done justice at all in the script. obviously not every scene from the book could be put into the movie, but so many extremely important scenes were cut that greatly affected the experience in my opinion.

  good, just not as good as the original. it's impossible to hate a movie with such great dancing.

  miles teller did great in this movie but i just can't take him seriously since the infamous esquire article written about him in 2015.
