Man. I wanted to like this movie and I did enjoy some parts of it. But it just wasn’t quite there. I liked the twist but the rest of the film after it didn’t hit right. There were some interesting ideas, like the horrors and confusion of aging, but the tone was all over the place. The horror bordered on campy and silly a few times, which didn’t work for me. I quite enjoyed thriller! Vincent Price has such a commanding presence that you can’t help but root for him, even when he’s the bad guy. This role suited him well. The effects of the film worked and didn’t date the movie too much despite it being from 1954.

This movie is entertaining, with good acting and solid action scenes. The ending is satisfying and even has a small twist. I’d recommend to wide audiences.

Okay I actually really enjoyed this movie. It was fun and action packed from beginning to end with just a couple surprisingly heartwarming moments sprinkled in. I can’t believe I’m saying this but viewers familiar with not only Batman’s Rogues Gallery, but also other infamous movie monsters and villains would appreciate this movie the most. Nearly every bad guy in the Warner Bros umbrella appears in the film, from Dracula to Voldemort to Agent Smith from the Matrix. Very enjoyable and a roller coaster of fun.
