The fact that the movie left out several major plot points and practically streamlined the main story is dreadful. Even without thinking of the book, it felt like easy mode of a video game where it tells you exactly what to do and there's no thought around it you just go with it no questions asked. I usually enjoy movies even when they are not book accurate in the slightest, but I couldn't even enjoy this movie as it's own…

How do you ruin "Be Prepared"? One of Disney's best songs immediately destroyed because they had to remake a movie instead of coming up with an original idea.
I stopped watching once Mufasa died since they ruined the song and it just seemed like a waste of time to finish watching it.

I love Elton John. I love Taron Egerton. I love Taron Egerton playing Elton John. But I hate that they put musical numbers in this movie. The only one that made sense was the Rocketman one, all the other ones seemed out of place. However, Elton is very theatrical so I'm sure he liked the musical numbers. And if Elton is happy, I'm happy.
