I thought this was amazing and i think people really missed the pointy that the musical part of the movie was only when joker was going literally insane - when Arthur confirmed there was no joker, he didn't want to sing (he told Harley to stop on the stairs when she started to sing). this just makes musicals look like there only for insane people.
