  David Lynch is always so good with casting. Using Kyle Maclaughlan’s boyish charm and Laura Dern’s girl next door and pastel coloring showed the innocence of the unknowing. While Dennis Hopper and Isabella Rossellini’s characters looked more grown and warn in with deeper colors and heavier expressions showed the trauma and anxieties lying deep under the surface.
