A true ode to German Horror. I get Eggers is a master and I do enjoy his films. Every department was so well crafted and the acting was amazing. It’s just the story I have issues with. I don’t enjoy that the entire thing centers on the idea that a woman having any sort of sexuality drives her to madness or corruption - historically that’s the idea the plot was built on. Not my personal cup of tea, but an artful movie nonetheless.

Yoooo Colin Ferrel is throwing it down, and it is being obliterated into dust leaving no pieces for anyone to pick up. Cinematography is stunning, colors are gorgeous. I always love a dip into the grimy world of Gotham. The acting from the whole cast in this is incredible and all the gears of each department are turning together seamlessly.
