Midnight in Paris 2011
This seems like Woody Allen's attempt to show off his familiarity with the "greats" of art and literature, but it comes off as more self-indulgent than insightful. While the Parisian scenes are very pretty, the characters are absolutely unbearable (especially Gil) and the artists and writers he features are reduced to one-dimensional stereotypes. It's apparent that Allen hasn't truly grasped the nuances of Hemingway or Fitzgerald. Overall: boring tbh.
