  Queen of the Damned 2002

  Am I trash for loving this? It’s so strange that I have never watched this movie before considering it is filled with things I love, 1. Nu metal music, 2. Vampires and 3. AALIYAH! The plot was a little lacking and I really didn’t care about the Jesse scenes, but I loved every moment with Lestat and Akasha.

  The soundtrack has been on my Spotify for years, so I knew I’d love that and it did not disappoint. This movie probably isn’t for everyone but as some one who loves Anne Rice and Korn it felt like it was made for me!

  The Fog 1980

  ★★★★½ Rewatched 31 Oct 2024

  Rewatching the Fog this year, and I believe it holds up for a second time watch. I truly think this should be added to the summertime watches if you live or vacation near the beach.

  The atmosphere is the best part of the movie, with small town characters that are truly likable, especially Adrienne Barbeau’s character. Overall, still a great movie!

  Okay, but, I have so many questions about Hobgoblin logic... what is their power exactly? Mind control? They can also conjure beings? I know I’ll never get answers, but what the hell.

  Chopping Mall 1986

  First Hooptober flick!

  Okay, I thought this movie was about a serial killer in a mall...Little did I know the robots with their little clickety clack claws would show up and kill people with lasers and tasers.

  This was quite a ride...Honestly, what suburban teenager didn't want to spend the night at an empty mall? Corny and cheesy in the best way, this movie was so fun and had some really quotable lines as well.
