watched the show, read the book. didn't like the movie :(
the main reason i find this story to be so endearing is because em and dex are meant to be best friends first, 'lovers' second. i didn't really feel the friendship aspect to be as strong in this adaptation - sure it's a movie, and backstory/character can't be explored in as much depth but in friendship being the core of the story, this was unconvincing to me.
