Memorable cast, unmemorable script aside from some clever one-liners (honestly, a lot of clever one-liners). Pretty solid Chevy Chase impersonation too. I didn’t realize he was such an asshole? Anyway…I also really enjoyed the costume & set design, felt very real to the time. Really my only complaint is sometimes it felt hard to focus on this film because I got bored at times. Maybe I was just in a distracted mood.

3 stars because this movie was propulsive even when I had absolutely zero clue what else could possibly occur to drive the plot forward. I can’t explain it unless you’ve seen it too, but within the first 30 minutes, I felt like we’d reached the climax and the film was almost over, but somehow it kept going.
