Anyone But You 2023
Okay, so there are many things I want to touch upon with this film. First and foremost, I am a huge lover of romantic comedies. I love the formulas, I love the tension building, the warm nostalgic feelings that some of them produce, and lastly as a romantic myself I’ve always gravitated towards them.
However.
Anyone But You is number one on Netflix and I couldn’t fucking tell you why. This title should have been called Anything BUT this Movie.…

The Visit 2015
This movie, in theory, is absolutely terrifying to imagine. Two children going to their grandparents house THEN finding out that they’re really not their grandparents? Holy shit. I have to say though that this movie…is so fucking camp from start to finish.
I mean, how can you not laugh at Nana’s ass cheek peaking out after torturing the children underneath the house??

Senior Year 2022
I will say, I really appreciated the nostalgia this movie displayed for the 2000’s music genre. The soundtrack consisted of 2000’s hidden gems and most importantly the pop diva herself Britney Spears (‘Lucky’ is an absolute slay).
I REALLY wanted to connect with Rebel Wilson as a comedian and an actress in this film but I just couldn’t get into the fantasy.
It’s a film that you turn on before bed because it’s mindless and easy with an iconic soundtrack.
