Coyote Ugly 2000
Aesthetically a sin of beauty. I mean what is there to say…. Beautiful women and designer outfits it could never fail in the visual department.
It’s one of those older movies you watch back & realize it was really nothing special, just happened to be a cultural phenomenon based on nostalgia and coasting on casting. Weak plot, I would call it a fun movie but I find it to be weirdly melancholy at times.

Pre-desegregation, heavy Jim Crow. Pre-women’s rights, yet she’s such a wild and free and self-assured protagonist opposite of docile and very assertive well anything, but shy. All whilst being the pinnacle of femininity. It really put’s into context how original & exciting this film was for its time.

Sexual without eroticism. Grounded in realism in physical relations, but in turn vulgar. Expected in this portrayal of rough, youthful delusion.
Interesting coloring with unremarkable camera work. Certainly had some fun shots though. A slow beginning, good middle, but bitter end. Extra points for use of scenic locations.
