  This movie was gorgeous. The director nailed the feeling when the moment turns, when a woman begins to feel unsafe, how uncomfortable a man can make you without touching you, while smiling, talking, changing the subject.

  I loved the primary colors of blue sky, yellow desert, and red blood.

  I loved the motif of ants: searching, crawling, drowning in blood and piss, and how, at night, lit from below, a man's helmet can make him look like an ant.

  Chapelle's movies anyways make me wish I was making great art. Great music and two utterly charming leads, beautiful old Hollywood shots (that green Vertigo light!) juxtaposed with lovely still moments. Plus, super fun camera work. Delightful.
