The Country Bears 2002
First film of 2024?! Very cute little movie and better than I thought it would be. The bears are a little uncanny at times but are actually feats of mind-blowing full-body puppeteering when you think about it (the lip and brow movements? wow. it’s hard to believe no cgi is involved.) so a must-watch if you’re into Muppets and the like. The Bonnie Raitt and Willie Nelson contributions MAKE it. Underrated.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower 2012
Fake deep and terribly over-hyped. All of the characters are annoying except for Charlie and his sister and Paul Rudd I guess. Pretty hilarious to watch a bunch of teenagers try to be alternative and artsy but struggle to figure out who David Bowie is.
