I love how this is a perfect blend of the 1922 film and the 1897 book. Weirdly sexual but ‘Dracula’ was weirdly sexual. Personally I really liked how Eggers chose the Gothic Romaticism stylistic route over German expressionism which infiltrated the 1922 movie. Don’t even get me started on the beauty and craftsmenship of the costumes. Plus the attention to historical accuracy was spellbinding. Best adaptation of Bram Stockers Novel to date.
