Truly a film for our times - a satire for the way capitalism and colonialism shows up in our society today. Particularly enjoyed Mark Ruffalo being a Trump/Musk/evangelist asshole. I appreciated the detail and thought in the script even though the pacing was all over the place.

The shop owning middle aged witch is goals tbh.
A 90s teen movie classic that still holds up! The vibes and costumes are timeless. The power within the group shifts and changes - all of the main characters each go through a transition, and a lot of their journey is packed into the run time. I loved the first 2 thirds of the movie but felt a little disappointed in how the ending goes. Could definitely stand for a 2020s remake where the coven learns their lessons and come back even stronger at the end.

Golshifteh Farahani Is a badass in this and in real life, and she needs to be in more stuff. Who cares about the writing when there’s so much spectacle? So many sequences in this are like a pumped up version of Children of Men. Impressive stunts, effects, lighting, all coming together.
