    As someone who really isn’t a fan of Act 1 of the stage show, this film breathes a lot of life back into it for me. The long runtime lets them explore the themes much more deeply and doesn’t gloss over the darker aspects of the books unlike the musical and the visuals both practical and CG really allow the world to become as immersive…

    Getting to see the original cast (and some newer gen VA’s) re-dub the first episode was brilliant, and the outtakes were great but definitely too short. I think the event dragged a little bit, the original show isn't too digestible in larger portions. My fix would be to do the first three episodes (all parts of one longer story) with a full re-dub so we get the full range of their still brilliant talents 40 years on.
