  I love X and Pearl but this was so disappointing and such an unfulfilling ending to the trilogy. One of the worst third acts I’ve ever seen, the whiplash was insane. At least we have Longlegs coming out next week.

  Not only am I super proud of Jake for making this happen, this is seriously a very solid short film. I feel like this perfectly encapsulates the hazy days of summer and growing up in the suburbs. Not only is this a very peaceful and calming film, there’s a tinge of melancholy as well. The graininess of the old camcorder mixed with the sounds of late summer bring back fading childhood memories. Jake was perfectly able to capture a feeling I get towards the end of every summer but have never been able to put into words.
